MINNEAPOLIS – Freshman
Quinn Roehl headlined the performances of the North Dakota State men's track & field team as the Bison competed at the Gary Wilson Invitational hosted by the University of Minnesota on Wednesday.
Roehl (Grand Forks, N.D. / Central HS) ran a personal-best 3:48.65 in the 1500m to rank 10th on the NDSU all-time list. He joins current Bison teammates
Ethan Moe and
Symon Keiser in the NDSU Top 10.
NDSU's
Jacob Van Dusseldorp cleared 16-03.50 (4.97m) to win the pole vault.
Sophomore
Paul Olson cleared 6-7 (2.01m) for second place in the high jump.
Hunter Merkley took second in the long jump with a jump of 22-08.50 (6.92m).
Cam Landis threw 57-05.00 (17.50m) for third in the shot put, and he placed fifth in the discus with a mark of 167-4 (51.01m).
Jayden Murdock ran 22.01 in the 200m dash for fifth place. In the 400m dash,
Blake Boyster (49.61) finished fifth, and
Gabe Miles (49.66) took sixth.
Competing unattached, Bison freshman Jonah Dafoe ran a personal-best 1:54.71 in the 800m for sixth place. Also unattached, Regan Bosch ran a personal-best 9:55.77 in the 3000m steeplechase.
The Bison will continue this week's slate of competition at the Drake Relays on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
