NDSU Women’s Golf Records First Place Finish at the Stampede at the Creek

OMAHA, Neb. – The North Dakota State women's golf team had three players finish inside the top 10 to help win the Stampede at the Creek at Indian Creek Golf Course on Tuesday afternoon.
The Bison put together rounds of 299, 299 and 294 for a three-round total of 892 for the top spot in the 10-team tournament. NDSU held off St. Thomas (298-308-289--895) after the Tommies finished three strokes back in second place. South Dakota State (301-308-297--906) closed out the top three in third place.
Madi Hicks (74-74-73--221) posted a 73 (+1) in the final round with two birdies to come in third place. It marked her third top five finish of the season. Jo Baranczyk (72-73-82--227) carded a season-low three round total of 227 to finish tied for eighth place. Elise Hoven (79-74-75--228) also cracked the top 10 tied for 10th place after posting a 75 (+3) in the final round with one birdie.
Norah Roberts (76-78-76--230) finished tied for 15th place, while Catherine Monty (77-85-70--232) moved up 25 spots to finish tied for 20th place after notching a 70 (-2) with four birdies in the final round. Cora Larson (78-80-77--235) rounded out the group tied for 28th place.
NDSU will be back in action at the Summit League Championship on April 21-23.
