Bison Women Turn In Strong Performances at SDSU

BROOKINGS, S.D. – The North Dakota State women's track & field team competed at a pair of meets on Saturday, with the majority of the Bison at the Jim Emmerich Alumni Meet hosted by South Dakota State.
NDSU's Grace Emineth won the long jump at SDSU with a mark of 19-05.50 (5.93m). Joy Nnantah won the triple jump with a mark of 37-07.25 (11.46m).
Jacee Johannsen won the pole vault for the third straight meet, clearing 13-05.25 (4.10m). Allison Otto-Fitzsimons was the runner-up at 12-05.50 (3.80m).
Grace Link won the mile in 4:53.82, and also took third in the 1000m in 2:57.29. Jaelyn Miller was fourth in the mile in a personal-best 4:59.28.
Marvelous Onwualo placed second in the 60m hurdles, clocking 8.58 in the final.
Kate LeBlanc was the runner-up in the 800m, clocking 2:15.87, and freshman Carsyn Brady was third in 2:16.85.
Reese Rogowski ran a 400m PR of 56.05 to take third place, Kaci Cooper ran 56.54 for fourth, and Elise Wisnewski was sixth in 56.72.
Reagan Baesler took third in the 3,000m with a time of 9:40.08.
Anika Larson posted the second-fastest indoor 200m dash of her career, running 24.56 for third place.
At the Jack Johnson Classic hosted by Minnesota, the Bison women took third in both throwing events. Riley Quinn placed third in the shot put with a mark of 46-06.00 (14.17m). Merrideth Spiers threw 62-05.25 (19.03m) for third place in the weight throw.
