BROOKINGS, S.D. – North Dakota State soccer fell to South Dakota State 2-0 Sunday afternoon in Summit League play at Fishback Soccer Park.

Jenna Maloy scored both goals for the Jackrabbits (8-1-4, 2-0-1), with the first coming in the 33^rd minute, before sealing the win over the Bison (5-9-0, 1-3-0) in the 81^st minute on a counter attacking goal.

NDSU was held without a shot on target in the opening 45 minutes, while Payton Mulberry made three first-half saves to see the Bison head into the break trailing 1-0.

In the second half, the Bison created several close scoring chances. Gabrielle Garrett sailed a shot just over the crossbar and a few minutes later, Kendall Stadden put a shot just wide into the side netting. NDSU nearly had an equalizer in the 78^th minute, as Morgan Russmann's header was denied by Mallorie Benhart.

Mulberry finished with four more saves in the second half, totaling seven for the game.

NDSU will have a week off before taking on in-state rival North Dakota on Dakota Soccer Day on Sunday, October 12. The Bison and Fighting Hawks are set to meet at Dacotah Field in Fargo, with kickoff set for 1 p.m.
