Bickerton Named Stats Perform FCS National Special Teams Player of the Week

FARGO, N.D. - North Dakota State punter Aaron Bickerton was named Stats Perform FCS National Special Teams Player of the Week on Monday, Nov. 10, for his performance in top-ranked NDSU's 15-10 road win over 13th-ranked North Dakota.
Bickerton, a junior from Stoke-on-Trent, England, punted a season-high five times for 55.6 yards per punt, the second highest single-game punting average in NDSU's 22-year Division I history.
He had a season-long of 64 and other punts of 62, 55, 52 and 45 yards with one touchback and one inside the 20 for the Bison, who limited UND to 36 return yards. Bickerton was also the holder for three successful field goals before NDSU took its first lead with 2:22 left in the game.
Bickerton is the fourth punter in Bison history to earn the FCS national special teams honor, joining Mike Dragosavich (2007), Ben LeCompte (2013) and Garret Wegner (2020-21). NDSU punt returner Christian Dudzik won the award in 2013.
North Dakota State is scheduled to host Northern Iowa in the annual Harvest Bowl game at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, at Gate City Bank Field at the Fargodome. Tickets are on sale at GoBison.com/tickets.
