The Games: The North Dakota State men's basketball team (5-3) will play a pair of games in the Big Sky-Summit Challenge this week, traveling to play at Montana on Wednesday, Dec. 3, and hosting Northern Arizona on Saturday, Dec. 6.

Against Montana: Wednesday will be the 14th meeting all-time between the Bison and Griz. Montana holds a 9-4 lead in the series. The schools met twice in the 2023-24 season, with NDSU winning 78-69 in Missoula on Nov. 16, and Montana winning 96-86 in Fargo on Jan. 3.

Against Northern Arizona: Saturday will be the fourth meeting all-time between the Bison and Lumberjacks, with NDSU holding a 3-0 record in the series. The two schools played twice in 2008-09, with NDSU winning in both Flagstaff and Fargo. The most recent meeting was on Nov. 13, 2011, as part of a season-opening event in San Francisco, with the Bison winning that contest 70-58.

Did Our Part: The Bison went 2-0 in the Big Sky-Summit Challenge last season, beating Weber State on the road and Northern Colorado at home.

New Low Score: NDSU held Jacksonville State to 43 points in its victory on Nov. 26, which was the lowest total for a Division I Bison opponent in nearly 11 years. The last time NDSU limited a D-I opponent to fewer points in a game was on Dec. 13, 2014 -- a 71-42 drubbing of North Dakota at Scheels Arena in Fargo.
         The Bison held five different opponents under 50 points in that 2014-15 season on their way to Summit League regular season and tournament titles.

Big Margin: The Bison are ranked No. 7 in the NCAA for turnover margin at +6.6 per game.

Steady Progression: Damari Wheeler-Thomas is shooting 47.5 percent from three-point range this season after shooting 30 percent as a freshman and 37 percent as a sophomore.
