
Bison Women Capture 10 Event Titles at Dakota Alumni Classic

FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State women's track & field team won 10 events at the Dakota Alumni Classic on Thursday.
Junior Adison Kapitzke threw an indoor personal-best 51-00.25 (15.55m) to win the shot put, ranking 11th in school history. Kapitzke also posted a personal-best 57-9 (17.60m) for fifth place in the weight throw.
Grace VanErp recorded an indoor PR of 40-2 (12.24m) to take first in the triple jump.
Sophomore Laney Songster won the 60m hurdles in 8.51, and freshman Jordyn Davis took second in 8.60 to rank 11th in school history.
Junior Anika Larson won the 60m dash in 7.42 – the second-fastest time of her career.
Freshman Kaela Skistad ran 55.94 to win the 400m dash. Reese Rogowski took second in 56.24.
Redshirt freshman Paige Renschler clocked 24.78 to win the 200m dash. Riika Tirkkonen was second in 24.98.
Ella Gardner was the top collegian in the long jump with a mark of 19-05.50 (5.93m), and she also took third in the triple jump.
Redshirt freshman Casidi Pehler cleared a personal-best 12-07.50 (3.85m) to win the pole vault. Mya Folken cleared 5-05.25 (1.66m) to claim first in the high jump.
Sophomore Aizlynn Krafka recorded personal-bests of 8.79 in the 60m hurdles and 12-01.50 (3.70m) in the pole vault to place third in both events.
Rylee Johnson took second in the pentathlon with a score of 3,496 points. Yolanda Nabwe was third with 3,456.
