NDSU Women Post Event Titles, Personal-Bests at UND

GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The North Dakota State women's track & field team competed in its final indoor meet of the regular season Friday, taking part in the UND Tune-Up.
Sydney Arndt won the 60m hurdles in 8.32, setting a new personal-best that's tied for third-fastest in school history. Marvelous Onwualo placed third in 8.61.
Sophomore Arienne Birch cleared a season-best and Summit League-leading 5-09.25 (1.76m) to win the high jump, putting her among the Top 60 in the NCAA this season.
Allison Otto-Fitzsimons cleared a personal-best 13-02.25 (4.02m) to win the pole vault, ranking eighth in NDSU indoor history. Jacee Johannsen cleared the same bar for runner-up honors.
Senior Grace Emineth won the long jump with a season-best mark of 20-00.25 (6.10m). Makenna Vollmer and Ella Gardner both went 19-06.25 (5.95m) to place third and fourth, respectively. The mark was a new indoor personal-best for Vollmer.
Joy Nnantah claimed the triple jump title with a mark of 39-01.75 (11.93m), and Grace VanErp took third at 38-08.25 (11.79m).
Freshman Carsyn Brady ran a season-best 2:15.25 for second place in the 800m, and Acey Elkins was fourth in 2:16.22.
Unattached Bison freshman Kendra Mehrkens ran 7.69 for third place in the 60m dash.
The meet served as the final tune-up for the Bison before the Summit League Indoor Championships, which will be hosted by South Dakota State on Friday, Feb. 28, and Saturday, March 1, in Brookings.
