NDSU Hurdlers Break Through at Bison Open

FARGO, N.D. – A trio of 60m hurdles performances that rank among the best in school history headlined the Bison Open on Saturday for the North Dakota State men's track & field team.
NDSU senior Brock Johnsen won the 60m hurdles in a personal-best 7.81, making him second-fastest in school history. Sophomore Trey Heinrich ran a personal-best 7.82 for second place, ranking him third-fastest in NDSU history. Both entered the NCAA Top 50 in the event this season.
Logan Mathieu clocked a personal-best 7.97 in the hurdles, moving up to a tie for sixth on the NDSU all-time list.
NDSU sophomore Ethan Moe won the mile, finishing in 4:09.40.
Zack Ramos threw a season-best 59-04.75 (18.10m) to win the shot put. Jack Packer took second with a personal-best 54-02.50 (16.52m).
Andrew Berg cleared a personal-best 6-09.75 (2.08m) in the high jump for second place.
The Bison men finished 2-3-4 in the triple jump, with Adam Dugger (49-07.75 / 15.13m) second, Reece Grosserode (49-05.00 / 15.06m) third, and Carlton Mukurazita (48-01.75 / 14.67m) fourth.
Freshman Jeran McNichols was the runner-up in the 60m dash in 6.82, and Jayden Williams took fifth in 6.86.
