Bison Women Conclude Competition at Beach Invitational

LONG BEACH, Calif. – The North Dakota State women's track & field team wrapped up three days of competition in southern California on Saturday.
Emelia Skistad, Elise Wisnewski, Paige Renschler and Anika Larson finished third in the 4x100m relay in 45.61, ranking seventh on the NDSU all-time list.
Three Bison women placed in the Top 10 of the triple jump, led by freshman Nyariek Kur in sixth place with a mark of 40-09.75 (12.44m). Grace Emineth took eighth at 40-01.50 (12.23m), and Joy Nnantah was ninth at 40-00.75 (12.21m).
Emineth placed fifth in the long jump with a mark of 19-11.75 (6.09m). Ella Gardner was ninth at 19-05.50 (5.93m), and Kur took 12th at 19-04.25 (5.90m).
Sophomore Adison Kapitzke set another personal-best in the outdoor shot put, throwing 50-04.75 (15.36m) to rank 11th in school history. She also recorded a discus personal-best of 148-8 (45.32m).
In all, Kapitzke registered five personal-best marks over the three days of competition – two apiece in the hammer throw and shot put, and one in the discus.
Marvelous Onwualo clocked the second-fastest 100m hurdles time of her career, running 14.04. Freshman Laney Songster ran 14.20.
