FARGO, N.D. - North Dakota State soccer continues Summit League play and welcomes in the University of Denver on Sunday to wrap up the opening week of the league season. Kickoff between the Bison and the Pioneers is set for noon at Dacotah Field.

Series History
North Dakota State and Denver will meet for the 17th time in series history on Sunday. Denver holds a 13-2-1 record all-time against the Bison, including a 2-1 win over the Herd last season in Denver. In the last meeting in Fargo, NDSU defeated the league champions 1-0 on the final night of the regular season for the Bison.

Last Time Against Denver
North Dakota State soccer saw a five-game unbeaten run in league play come to an end, falling at Denver 2-1.

Olivia Watson gave the Bison the lead in the 33rd minute off of a corner kick.
Tyreese Zacher sent a corner kick to the far post, where it was headed down by
Gabrielle Garrett and Watson knocked it in from close range for her fourth goal of the season.

However, Denver would trail for only 73 seconds, as the Pioneers also capitalized on a corner kick and Ella Frost fired a shot through traffic to tie the game in the 34th minute.

With less than 10 minutes to go, Denver would be awarded a penalty after a video review. Frost would step up and convert with a shot to the left into the side netting, giving the Pioneers the lead.

North Dakota State will hit the road for a pair of games in South Dakota next week. The Bison open up the trip with a visit to Vermillion, as the Bison take on South Dakota. Kickoff against the Coyotes is set for 6 p.m. at the First Bank & Trust Soccer Complex.
