SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – For the third straight week and sixth time this season, junior forward Avery Koenen has been named the Summit League Kwik Star Peak Performer of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday.

Koenen guided the Bison (16-2, 5-0 Summit) to a 5-0 start in Summit League play for the first time in program history after upending South Dakota State. NDSU has also won each of its last 14 games, which is tied for the fourth-longest active win streak in the nation.

Koenen netted a game-high 26 points on 10-of-17 shooting from the field against the Jackrabbits. She grabbed a game-best 13 rebounds with two blocks and two steals for her 13th double-double of the season.

Koenen currently ranks in the top 10 in the nation and leads the Summit League in double-doubles (3rd, 13), field goal percentage (4th, 63.6), free throw attempts (4th, 134), defensive rebounds per game (6th, 8.3), free throws (8th, 99) and rebounds per game (9th, 11.1).
