NDSU Women’s Basketball Rises to No. 2 in College Insider Mid-Major Poll

BOSTON – The North Dakota State women's basketball team climbed up to No. 2 in the latest College Insider Mid-Major Top 25 Poll this week, the organization announced on Tuesday night.

The Bison (16-2, 5-0 Summit) moved up five spots to No. 2, which is the highest ranking in program history. NDSU has been slotted in the poll each of the last seven weeks after entering at No. 23 in December. South Dakota State (No. 5) is the only other Summit League school in the poll. Princeton holds the top spot with a 15-1 overall record and all 31 first-place votes.

The Mid-Major Poll is made up of teams from the following conferences: America East, Atlantic Sun, Big Sky, Big South, Big West, Coastal Athletic, Conference USA, Horizon, Ivy, Metro Atlantic, Mid-American, Mid-Eastern, Missouri Valley, Northeast, Ohio Valley, Patriot, Southern, Southland, Southwestern, Summit, Sun Belt, West Coast, Western Athletic.

NDSU, who has won each of its last 14 games, will be back in action at St. Thomas on Wednesday night. Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m.
