Bison Women Win Team Title at Nebraska’s Mark Colligan Memorial

LINCOLN, Neb. – The North Dakota State women's track & field team defeated host Nebraska, Boise State, and Wichita State to capture the team title at the Mark Colligan Memorial in Lincoln on Saturday afternoon.
 
The Bison women scored 158 points, beating Nebraska (150), Boise State (128), and Wichita State (92) in the four-team meet.
 
Anika Larson and Paige Renschler finished 1-2 in the 60m dash, with Larson running a personal-best 7.40 in the prelims and final. Renschler clocked a personal-best 7.41 in the prelims and placed second with 7.45 in the final. The duo now ranks No. 2 and No. 3 in NDSU history.
 
Renschler took second in the 200m dash with a personal-best 24.28, tying for No. 6 all-time at NDSU in the event. Larson was third in the 200m in 24.30.
 
Freshman Jordyn Davis won the 60m hurdles in 8.46, tying for fifth-fastest in school history. Davis's time also broke the Manitoba U20 record in the event.
 
Nebraska native Ella Gardner won the long jump with a mark of 19-2 (5.84m) and the triple jump at 39-02.25 (11.94m).
 
Reese Rogowski, Soraya Espino, Kendal Stingle and Kaela Skistad ran 3:41.25 in the 4x400m relay to rank fourth-fastest in school history. Rogowski won the 400m dash in a personal-best 54.54 and now ranks sixth in NDSU indoor history.
 
Skistad was the runner-up in the 400m, clocking 54.97 to rank 11th on the NDSU list.
 
Jade Rypkema ran 9:43.32 for a runner-up finish in the 3000m. She is ninth all-time at NDSU after her Bison debut.
 
Casidi Pehler cleared a personal-best 12-11.75 (3.96m) to take third in the pole vault. She now ranks 10th in NDSU indoor history. Julia Gherardi cleared the same bar for fourth place in the meet.
 
Kendra Mehrkens ran a personal-best 7.64 in the 60m dash final to tie for 10th-fastest in school history.
 
Mia Hoffmann finished fifth in the 3000m in 9:46.34. Jaelyn Miller placed sixth in the mile, running 4:58.22.
 
Grace Steffen took sixth in the weight throw with a mark of 58-6 (17.83m).
