Roehl, Rekow, Knodle Pace Bison Men in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A trio of distance runners posted breakthrough performances for the North Dakota State men's track & field team on Friday at the Music City Challenge hosted by Vanderbilt.
Sophomore Quinn Roehl ran a personal-best 4:03.23 in the mile to rank second in NDSU history. Redshirt freshman Carl Rekow clocked a personal-best 4:04.91 to rank fifth all-time at NDSU.
Bison senior Jacob Knodle ran an indoor 5,000m personal-best of 14:27.81 to move up to fifth-fastest in school history.
Will Gerber added a PR of 4:12.70 in the mile at Vanderbilt.
NDSU freshman Carter Reckelberg jumped 24-06.50 (7.48m) to place fourth in the long jump. Freshman Lucas McNichols posted a mark of 23-05.50 (7.15m).
Adam Myren cleared a season-best 6-06.75 (2.00m) in the high jump.
At the Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational hosted by Liberty in Lynchburg, Va., sophomore Jeran McNichols ran 6.89 in both the prelims and semifinals of the 60m dash to place 11th.
At the SDSU Indoor Classic in Brookings, S.D., Kaden Pastian won the shot put with a throw of 58-00.25 (17.68m). Aiden Krause took fourth in the weight throw with a personal-best mark of 59-03.50 (18.07m).
Competition will continue Saturday.
