NDSU Men Shine in 800m, Mile, Heptathlon at Bison Open

FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State men's track & field team posted standout performances in the 800m, mile and heptathlon to conclude the Bison Open on Saturday at the Shelly Ellig Indoor Track & Field Facility.
Running unattached, Ethan Moe won the 800m in a facility record and personal-best 1:50.33. Five Bison clocked in under 1:55 – Quinn Roehl (1:53.04), Carl Rekow (1:53.65), Jonah Dafoe (1:53.75), and Zackery Bruder (1:54.57).
Rekow won the mile with a time of 4:08.19 to rank ninth-fastest in school history.
Freshman Owen Angell won the Bison Open heptathlon with a score of 5,167 points to rank 10th all-time at NDSU. Trey Knoke took second in the heptathlon, scoring a season-best 4,959 points. Knoke clocked 8.08 in the 60m hurdles.
Reece Grosserode took the long jump title with a mark of 23-02.75 (7.08m).
Sophomore Kaleb Foltz won the 400m dash with a time of 49.24.
Aaron Cummings cleared 16-10.75 (5.15m) in the pole vault for second place. Unattached Bison Jarod White won with a vault of 17-04.50 (5.30m).
Kaden Pastian was the runner-up in the shot put with a mark of 57-06.50 (17.54m). Jack Packer threw a personal-best 55-07.75 (16.96m) for third place, and Aiden Krause posted a PR of 54-08.25 (16.67m) for fifth.
Andrew Berg took second in the high jump, clearing 6-08.25 (2.04m).
