SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Summit League announced the Most Outstanding Performers of the Championship and the Coach of the Year awards for the 2026 indoor track & field season on Wednesday.
Â
North Dakota State's Anika Larson claimed the women's Most Outstanding Performer of the Championship. NDSU head coach
Stevie Keller swept the Indoor Coach of the Year honors for the second time in his career, earning both the men's and women's honors after leading the Bison to team titles last weekend.
Â
In all, these are Keller's 23rd and 24th Summit League Coach of the Year honors overall across women's, men's, indoor, and outdoor track & field.
The Bison men won their first title since 2021, which was the only previous time Keller swept both indoor coaching honors. His men scored 191.5 points and racked up 21 all-league honors to best runner-up South Dakota by 46.5 points.
Â
Larson helped her coach capture NDSU's third straight title on the women's side after sweeping the sprint events in Grand Forks to pick up two of the NDSU women's 20 all-league honors. The Bison junior clocked a personal-best in the 60-meter finals with a winning time of 7.37. She then set another personal-best in the 200-meter finals, posting a winning time of 23.62.
The Cambridge, Minn., native finished the meet with two gold medals and 20 points, helping the Bison women cruise to a 33.5-point victory in the team standings. NDSU has now won 17 of the last 19 women's indoor titles.
The Most Outstanding Performer of the Championship is determined by a vote of the participating head coaches and is based upon the student-athletes' performance during the Summit League Indoor Track and Field Championships.
