FARGO, N.D. – North Dakota State women's basketball head coach
Jory Collins has announced the addition of Madelynn Muniz to the 2026 signing class.
Muniz joins the Bison after spending the last two seasons at Cal State Fullerton. She started her career at Idaho for her redshirt season in 2023-24.
"As we looked into the portal, we were looking for certain traits and fit for our team," said Collins. "Madelynn hasn't had the typical path and has dealt with several coaching changes. I'm excited to get her into our environment and let her be herself. She has a chance to be an elite shooter, she's a good athlete, and brings more size to our perimeter. We're very happy to have her as a Bison!"
Muniz appeared in 62 games with 18 starts over two seasons at Cal State Fullerton. The Phoenix, Arizona native reached double digits in scoring in three games last season, including a career-high 18 points on 6-of-6 shooting from three against UC Riverside on Jan. 17. She also handed out a career-best 23 total assists and created a career-high 23 steals last season.
