Kapitzke’s Hammer Throw PR Leads Bison Women Friday

LINCOLN, Neb. – The North Dakota State University women's track & field team had athletes competing at a pair of meets on Friday.
At the Big Red Classic hosted by Nebraska, Adison Kapitzke threw a personal-best 199-0 (60.66m) in the hammer to take third place in the meet and rank ninth all-time at NDSU. Five of Kapitzke's six attempts on Friday afternoon surpassed her previous PR in the event.
Julia Gherardi took fifth in the pole vault at Nebraska, clearing 12-4 (3.76m).
Ella Gardner placed sixth in the long jump with a mark of 18-10 (5.74m), and Grace VanErp was seventh at 18-08.75 (5.71m).
At the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, Calif., Reagan Berg recorded an 800m personal-best of 2:11.06, and Jaelyn Miller clocked 2:11.68.
Competition will conclude at both meets on Saturday.
