2023 SEASON (FRESHMAN): Played in five games as a backup wide receiver for North Dakota State.

2022 SEASON (REDSHIRT): Sat out the season as a redshirt in the Bison program...Did not participate in any games...Named to the Missouri Valley Football Conference Honor Roll.

HIGH SCHOOL: 2022 graduate of West Fargo High School...Four-year starter...Two-time team captain under coach Jay Gibson...Helped the Packers to a state runner-up finish as a senior...Three-time all-state honoree, including first team honors as a junior and a senior...All-conference all four years...Owns West Fargo reception and yards records for a single season and career, as well as most punt and kick return yards for a career...Over 2,000 receiving yards for career...Finished senior season with 800 receiving yards and five touchdowns...Also participates in basketball and track and field...Owns school record for 200-meter dash (:21.6)...Earned all-state honors on the hardwood as a junior, leading West Fargo to the state championship...Member of National Honor Society.

PERSONAL: Son of Erik and Shelly Hegerle...Erik Hegerle played football for NDSU from 1990-93...Shelly Steckler ran track at NDSU from 1990-94...Has a sister, Kalli Hegerle, who played volleyball at NDSU from 2018-20.
