FARGO, N.D.--Former All-America outside hitter Rachael Schmieg had a match-high 12 kills to lead the NDSU alumni to a 30-18, 30-28, 30-20 sweep of North Dakota State in exhibition college women's volleyball Saturday, Oct. 22, at the Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse.
Alumni teammate Amanda Murphy had 11 kills, five aces and a block, and three-time All-American Carrie Jacobson added 10 kills, two aces and four blocks.
Setters Kari Holmgren and Janna Ruebke had 23 and 15 assists, respectively.
Kelly Lopez and Lindsay Shockman-Rogers each had seven kills for North Dakota State. Rogers also had five total blocks including a pair of solos.
North Dakota State (1-24) is scheduled to close out the season with 11 road matches beginning with a two-match swing to Montana on Friday, Oct. 28, and Montana State on Saturday, Oct. 29.
