NDSU Men Top Concordia 86-57 in Exhibition Opener

FARGO, N.D. - Marshall Bjorklund scored 18 points to lead North Dakota State to an 86-57 win over Concordia Moorhead in exhibition men's basketball Thursday, Nov. 1, before a crowd of 1,689 at the Bison Sports Arena.
Taylor Braun added 13 points and a game-high six rebounds for NDSU and Nate Zastrow scored 12 points off the bench all in the second half. All 11 Bison players scored in the game.
Jason Huus had eight points and five rebounds for Concordia, and six other players scored six points apiece for the Cobbers, who shot 37 percent as a team.
NDSU raced out to a 16-2 lead midway through the first half and extended the lead to 40-15 at halftime. The Bison defense forced Concordia into 11 first-half 3-pointers and the Cobbers were just 1-for-11 from the arc before intermission.
North Dakota State went up by as many as 37 points early in the second half when Lawrence Alexander created a steal and Mike Felt's fast-break one-handed dunk made it 57-20.
The Bison close out exhibition play against Minnesota State Moorhead at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3.
