
Wright's Double-Double Paces North Dakota State Past Duquesne, 57-43

PITTSBURGH - TrayVonn Wright had 18 points and 10 rebounds to lead North Dakota State to a 57-43 win over Duquesne in the Progressive Legends Classic on Tuesday, Nov. 20, at the A.J. Palumbo Center.
Wright had 11 points in the second half including nine on a 15-point NDSU run that gave the Bison a 49-24 lead with 12 minutes left. He had six offensive rebounds, two blocks and two steals. It was his third career double-double.
Marshall Bjorklund scored 12 points and Taylor Braun finished with 11 for the Bison, who shot 39 percent from the floor and held Duquesne to 27.1 percent overall to make up for a 46-38 deficit on the glass.
NDSU held Duquesne scoreless until the 14:06 mark of the first half and it was 19-5 midway through the period. NDSU led 34-19 at halftime, the fewest points in a half for a Bison opponent since Western Illinois in February 2011.
North Dakota State committed only two turnovers in the first half and six for the game - the fewest since last December at Arizona State. NDSU scored 28 points off 14 Duquesne turnovers.
Andre Marhold scored all of his team-high nine points in the second half for Duquesne and added six rebounds and three blocked shots. Sean Johnson finished with eight points and eight rebounds.
NDSU is scheduled to close out the Progressive Legends Classic against James Madison at 4:30 p.m. EST on Wednesday, Nov. 21, at the Palumbo Center. The Dukes are 1-2 after a 69-68 win over Youngstown State earlier Tuesday.
