The North Dakota State men's track & field team will compete in four meets in southern California this week, including the prestigious Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, Calif.
Decathletes Angus Stoudt, Matt Neururer, Grant Mjelstad and Beau Gagnon will open the four-day stretch by competing in the California Invitational Multi-Events meet in Azusa, Calif., on Wednesday, Apr. 16, and Thursday, Apr. 17.
Fifteen Bison entries have been accepted at the prestigious Mt. SAC Relays, which will run from Apr. 17-19 in Walnut, Calif. NDSU men expected to compete include: Brett Kelly (3,000m steeplechase), Colin Paarmann (110m hurdles), Alec Espeland (1500m, 800m), Moses Heppner (800m), Jerome Begin (400m hurdles), Trevor Berner (hammer throw), Brandt Berghuis (hammer throw, shot put), Tyler Parker (javelin), Quinn Baumann (javelin), Brock Larson (pole vault), Alex Renner (shot put) and 4x100m and 4x400m relays.
Bison athletes will take part in the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa on Friday, Apr. 18, and the Beach Invitational in Norwalk, Calif., on Saturday, Apr. 19, to fill out the competition schedule. Both of those meets will hold hammer throw competitions on the day prior to all other events.
The Bison have won four consecutive Summit League outdoor team titles.
