Senior forward Shaquille Hines leads UTRGV with 15.7 points and 6.1 rebounds per contest. Senior guard J.J. Thompson is averaging 13.0 points and 4.8 assists per game.
The Series vs. UT Rio Grande Valley: NDSU holds a 2-1 lead in the all-time series with UTRGV, with all three meetings played under the former university name of Texas-Pan American. The last two games were played as a home-and-home series in the 2006-07 season, with the Bison earning a sweep -- 88-58 at home and 74-63 on the road.
About Utah State: The Aggies are 5-3 overall this season. Utah State was voted third in the Mountain West Conference preseason poll after going 18-13 overall and 11-7 in the league last year. Junior wing Jalen Moore is leading the Aggies with 13.3 points per game, and senior guard Chris Smith is averaging 12.8 points.
The Series vs. Utah State: The Bison and Aggies have never played in basketball.
Neutral Site: The Bison are 12-4 in neutral-site games over the past three seasons.

Finish Strong: The Bison are shooting 50.3 percent in the final 10 minutes of games this season.
Long Arm of the Law: Junior forward Dexter Werner posted six blocks for the second time in his career against Montana State on Dec. 16, matching the feat he first achieved against Minnesota-Crookston on Nov. 25 last season. He came up one block shy of Jason Wenschlag's single-game NDSU record of seven, set in 1991.
Rare Feat: Only two players in the country under 6-foot-7 have recorded six or more blocks in a game this season – NDSU's Dexter Werner and Norfolk State's Jordan Butler, who are both listed at 6-6.

Turnover Advantage: The Bison have had a significant advantage in the turnover department this season, ranking 21st in Division I with a plus-4.2 turnover margin. NDSU is averaging just 9.8 turnovers per game while creating 14.0 for its opponents.
Home Court: With 29 straight home wins, the Bison own the fifth-longest active home court winning streak in the nation. NDSU is 42-2 at home since the start of the 2012-13 season, with the only two losses being to Southern Miss (70-69) on Nov. 18, 2013, and Western Illinois (49-36) on Feb. 14, 2013.

Another Comeback Win: NDSU trailed 40-25 with 18 minutes remaining at North Dakota on Dec. 11, but the Bison rallied for a 69-67 comeback victory. NDSU used a 22-6 run that lasted more than eight minutes to erase the deficit.
Breakout Game: Freshman guard Khy Kabellis came off the bench to score a team-high 18 points on 6-of-7 shooting, including a 4-for-5 effort from beyond the arc, to lift the Bison to a 69-67 come-from-behind win at North Dakota.
Small Lineup: NDSU head coach David Richman went to a 'small' lineup in the second half against North Dakota, playing Khy Kabellis (6-3), Malik Clements (6-3), Kory Brown (6-4), Paul Miller (6-5) and A.J. Jacobson (6-6). That combination spent nearly eight minutes on the floor together in the game, outscoring North Dakota 17-6 in that time.

He became the third Bison with a double-double this season, as senior Kory Brown and junior Dexter Werner both posted double-doubles in the season opener at UC Davis on Nov. 13.
