TEMPE, Ariz. – North Dakota State women's throwers Katelyn Weimerskirch and Courtney Pasiowitz moved up the Bison all-time best list in the hammer throw on Friday evening at the Baldy Castillo Invitational, and senior Emily Lesser earned an eighth-place finish in the event to lead the NDSU women.

In the first meet of the 2015 outdoor season, Lesser posted a mark of 185-6 (56.54m) in the hammer throw for eighth place in the meet.

Weimerskirch added 13 feet to her previous personal best in the hammer throw, registering a toss of 181-5 (55.30m) that ranks her fourth in NDSU history. She placed 10th in the meet.

Pasiowitz entered the Bison all-time top 10 list at No. 9 with a throw of 168-5 (51.34m).

Only one event was contested on Friday, with the majority of events scheduled for tomorrow at Sun Angel Stadium.
