The North Dakota State University track & field teams will host the NDSU Tune-Up at Schlanser Track and the Ellig Sports Complex on Friday, May 5.
The meet will be NDSU's final competition before hosting the Summit League Outdoor Track & Field Championships on May 11-13. The Bison women are nine-time defending Summit League outdoor champions, while the NDSU men have won seven straight outdoor team titles.
Field events are scheduled to begin with the women's hammer throw at 12:30 p.m. Women's javelin, women's pole vault and men's long jump competition will start at 2 p.m. Running events will begin with the 3,000m steeplechase at 3:20 p.m.
Joining the Bison in the meet will be the University of North Dakota, the University of Mary, Northern State and the University of Manitoba. Live results will be available on GoBison.com.
Several NDSU athletes will also compete at the Howard Wood Dakota Relays in Sioux Falls, S.D., on Friday and Saturday. Bison athletes expected to compete in Sioux Falls include: Byrne Curl (800m), Landon Jochim (200m, 400m), Michael Keogan (shot put), Allie Lahren (long jump, triple jump), Alex Renner (shot put) and Jacob Richter (400m).
