Bison Men Win 8 Events with Limited Squad Competing at UND

GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The North Dakota State men's track & field team competed at the University of North Dakota on Saturday, tuning up with one final meet before the Summit League Indoor Championships next weekend.
Bison sophomore Trevor Otterdahl came within an inch of his weight throw personal-best, winning the event with a throw of 65-07.50 (20.00m). He stands at No. 36 on the national performance list.
NDSU junior Connor Schank led a Bison sweep of the top four places in the mile, running a personal-best 4:18.42 for the win. Sophomore Jakob Hanna clocked a personal-best 4:19.06 for second place. Freshman Keiser Freetly (4:20.25) and unattached Isaac Berg (4:20.45) were third and fourth, respectively.
Bison senior Ryan Enerson won the 60m hurdles in a season-best time of 8.37 seconds. Sophomore Dominic Martinez was the runner-up in 8.47, and redshirt freshman Tyler Enerson ran a season-best 8.70 for fifth place.
Redshirt freshman Kurt TeBeest took the 800m title in a season-best 1:56.05.
Unattached Bison junior Guillaume Viault won both the 60m dash (6.92) and 200m dash (21.67). Freshman Luke Foertsch won the triple jump (42-08.25) and was third in the long jump (21-06.25).
NDSU sophomore Alex Talley threw 60-06.75 (18.46m) in the shot put for second place. Former Bison All-American Alex Renner took first at 63-02.75 (19.27m).
Redshirt freshman Chris McGlynn cleared a personal-best 14-11.00 (4.55m) in the pole vault for fifth place.
