Bison Down Oral Roberts in Extra Innings

TULSA, Okla. - An RBI single by Hunter Koep in the top of the 10th inning gave the North Dakota State baseball team a 3-2 win over Oral Roberts Saturday afternoon at J.L. Johnson Stadium.
NDSU improved to 5-13, 3-5 Summit with the win, while Oral Roberts dropped to 12-12, 5-3 Summit. The victory snapped a 10-game skid against the Golden Eagles and was the first win against Oral Roberts in Tulsa since May 14, 2015. The two teams will face each other on Sunday at 1 p.m. in the series finale.
Koep started the scoring in the second inning, as he hit his fourth home run of the season to right field. It was his second long ball of the weekend, as he also homered in the first game of the series on Friday night. NDSU extended the lead to 2-0 in the fourth inning as Charley Hesse doubled to center field, bringing in Sean Noel. Oral Roberts tied the game in the fifth inning with an RBI double and RBI single. Koep's single to left field drove in Bennett Hostetler for the game-winning run in the 10th inning.
Max Loven had a no-decision on the mound, striking out six and allowing two runs in 6.1 innings of work. He allowed six hits and walked one. Parker Harm improved to 2-1 on the year out of the bullpen, as he struck out five and walked three, without allowing a hit, in 3.2 innings of work. Koep had his third multi-hit game of the season, while five other Bison had a hit.
