NDSU Women Wrap Up Competition at Three Meets

AUSTIN, Texas – The North Dakota State women's track & field team concluded competition at a trio of meets on Saturday, posting a number of all-time Top 10 marks and a barrage of personal-bests.
At the Texas Relays in Austin, Texas, Bison sophomore Amanda Anderson improved her discus personal-best that ranks third all-time at NDSU, throwing 172-4 (52.52m). She now ranks among the top 30 performers in the NCAA this season.
Redshirt freshman Akealy Moton placed fourth in the shot put at the Texas Relays, throwing 51-08.50 (15.76m). Junior Bailey Retzlaff took sixth with a mark of 51-02.25 (15.60m).
At the Bobcat Invitational hosted by Texas State in San Marcos, freshman Jodi Lipp recorded her second-best triple jump mark of the year, going 39-07.75 (12.08m). She now ranks ninth in NDSU outdoor history.
Junior Klara Lyon cleared 12-07.50 (3.85m) in the pole vault at Texas State, placing fourth. Amy Herrington was fifth in the hammer throw with a toss of 201-9 (61.49m).
Sophomore Michaela Baker clocked 14.48 in the 100m hurdles, and fellow sophomore Ansley Schug ran a personal-best time of 14.56. Baker posted a mark of 38-06.00 (11.73m) in the triple jump, with sophomore Kylee Bergantine making her season debut at 37-10.50 (11.54m).
Sophomore Alyssa Lind ran a 200m personal-best of 25.32 to be the top NDSU performer in the event at the Bobcat Invitational. Freshman Rhaeghn Gripentrog ran a personal-best 25.37.
Senior Katie Bostrom led the Bison women in the 800m at the Mike Fanelli Track Classic in Hayward, Calif., finishing in 2:13.99.
