Bartholomay Climbs Record Book in 3,000m

SEATTLE, Wash. – Bison junior Alex Bartholomay moved up to third in school history in the 3,000m, highlighting the efforts of the North Dakota State men's track & field team on Friday.
Bartholomay clocked a personal-best 3,000m time of 8:15.49 at Washington's Husky Classic, ranking third in NDSU history behind only Jake Leingang and Travis Fitzke. He cut more than five seconds off his previous best in the event.
The Bison men finished 2-3-4-5 in the weight throw at the Husky Classic:

3. Trevor Otterdahl, 66-02.25 (20.17m)
4. Michael Keogan, 65-05.00 (19.94m)
5. Maxwell Otterdahl, 63-00.00 (19.20m)
At the Music City Challenge hosted by Vanderbilt University in Nashville, junior Noah Shafer tied his indoor pole vault personal-best, clearing 16-00.75 (4.90m).
Bison junior Tony Ukkelberg finished 10th in the long jump with a mark of 22-09.75 (6.95m).
Senior Guillaume Viault led the Bison men in the 200m dash, taking 13th place in 21.93. Junior Alex Brosseau ran an indoor PR of 21.97 for 14th place.
At the SDSU Indoor Classic in Brookings, S.D., Jakob Hanna placed fifth in the 3000m with a time of 8:38.30.
