FARGO, N.D. – North Dakota State baseball head coach
Tyler Oakes has announced the 2022 schedule.
"We are very excited about the upcoming 2022 season," said Oakes "The slate of games on our schedule will certainly provide a great challenge competing against some of the best programs in the country. Our team is looking forward to the challenge and having the opportunity to compete at a high level."
The schedule features 15 home games at Newman Outdoor Field and three opponents that participated in the NCAA Tournament last season, including Fairfield, Nebraska and Miami (FL). The Bison will play 52 regular season contests across 11 states against opponents from 12 different conferences.
The Bison will open the season with a four-game series at Abilene Christian on Feb. 18-20. The non-conference schedule will also feature two contests against Minnesota on March 8 at U.S. Bank Stadium and April 5 at Siebert Field.
NDSU will open Summit League play on the road at Northern Colorado on March 25-27. The Bison, who will play their first 27 games on the road, will make their home debut hosting St. Thomas on April 8-10 at Newman Outdoor Field. The Summit League Tournament is set for May 25-28 in Tulsa, Okla.
The Bison set a school record with 42 wins in 2021, going 42-19 on their way to a Summit League Tournament title and the first NCAA Regional game victory of the school's Division I era.
