WACO, Texas - North Dakota State right tackle
Cordell Volson was named to the American Football Coaches Association FCS All-America Team announced Wednesday, Dec. 22.
It is the fifth All-America honor this season for Volson, a senior from Balfour, N.D. He was also named All-America first team by HERO Sports, Stats Perform, Athlon Sports and The Associated Press.
Volson was selected to the All-Missouri Valley Football Conference first team for the third straight season. He has played a school-record 64 career games including the last 54 in a row with 40 consecutive starts for the Bison, who rank third in the FCS rushing for 273.6 yards per game.
No. 2 seed North Dakota State (13-1) is scheduled to face No. 8 seed Montana State (12-2) in the NCAA Division I Football Championship Game at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas.
