GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The North Dakota State men's track & field team put up several significant performances with a limited squad at the UND Indoor Tune-Up on Saturday, specifically in the 400m dash and shot put.

The Bison swept a 1-2-3 finish with an impressive showing in the 400m, with
Josh Knutson winning in 47.69,
Adrian Harris second in 47.76, and
Jacob Levin third in 48.53.

Knutson's winning time of 47.69 was a new personal-best that ranks third in NDSU indoor history. Harris's 47.76 was the second-fastest 400m of his career, and he ranks fourth all-time at NDSU. Levin's 48.53 was the latest in a string of personal-bests for the West Fargo product, and falls just outside NDSU's all-time Top 10.

Maxwell Otterdahl threw a personal-best 64-6 (19.66m) to win the shot put. He became the fourth Bison ever to top 64 feet indoors, and he now ranks ninth in the NCAA this season.

Kristoffer Thomsen recorded a season-best of 63-03.50 (19.29m) in the shot put – throwing that exact distance twice Saturday – to rank 15th in the NCAA this season. NDSU continues to have three men ranked in the national Top 15 for the shot put.

Josh Samyn won the 800m in a season-best time of 1:53.25.
Kurt TeBeest clocked a lifetime-best 1:54.38 in the 800m for third place.

Dante White won the 60m dash in 6.96 seconds and also ran a season-best 22.47 for second place in the 200m dash.

Hunter Merkley won the long jump with a mark of 22-01.75 (6.75m). Sophomore
Levi Rockey won the weight throw with a mark of 57-08.25 (17.58m) – the second-best throw of his career.

The Bison will compete at the Summit League Indoor Championships in Brookings, S.D., on Feb. 27-28.
