FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – North Dakota State senior Amy Herrington got the Bison track & field team started at the NCAA Indoor Championships on Thursday, taking 15th place in the weight throw.
Herrington threw 66-02.25 (20.17m) on her final attempt for her best mark of the day. The 15th-place finish earns her second team All-America honors.
Herrington entered the meet ranked 15th in the NCAA this season. It was her first national meet appearance.
The NDSU women now have 17 indoor All-America honors in the school's Division I era.
The NCAA Indoor Championships continue for the Bison women with Akealy Moton in the shot put Friday at 11 a.m., and Jennie Baragar-Petrash in the 3000m Saturday at 7 p.m.
