Bison Women Set for Summit League Golf Championship April 24-26

NEWTON, Kan. - After the 2020 championship was canceled due to Covid-19, the North Dakota State women's golf team returns to Sand Creek Station Golf Course in Newton, Kan. for the 2021 Summit League Women's Golf Championship, starting Saturday, April 24.
Tee times each day will begin at 8 a.m., with the Bison teeing off at 8:55 a.m. on Saturday. The 54-hole tournament takes place from April 24-26, with the course being played at 6,000 yards and scoring set at a par 72.

NDSU Notes
- With a pair of titles, North Dakota State is one of only three schools in the Summit League that have won a title. The Bison picked up wins in 2013 and 2018. Oral Roberts won 15 titles from 1998-2012, while Denver won four titles from 2014-2017 and again in 2019.
- NDSU returns three players that have previously participated in the Summit League Championships in Taylor McCorkle, Alexis Thomas and Maddie Herzog. Both McCorkle and Thomas were in the lineup when the Bison won their last title in 2018.
- McCorkle owns a pair of top eight finishes in her two championship appearances, as she finished in a tie for seventh in 2019 and a tie for fourth in 2018. McCorkle shot a 233 in 2019 and a 223 in 2018.
- Thomas finished in a tie for 18th in 2018 with a 235, while finishing in a tie for 33rd with a 247 in 2019. During the 2019 championship, Herzog finished 17th with a 239.
- The Bison shot a season-low 297 during the final round of the Grand Canyon Invitational on March 2.
- Catherine Monty and Lexi Geolat both have the lowest round of the year for the Bison, as they each shot a 72 in the final round of the Grand Canyon Invitational on March 2.
