Bison Women in Seventh After Second Round of Summit League Championship

NEWTON, Kan. – The North Dakota State women's team golf sits in seventh place after the second round of play at the Summit League Championship Sunday.
NDSU shot a 341, bringing the two-round total to 660. The Bison are two strokes behind Omaha and a stroke ahead of Western Illinois. Denver has the team lead with a 614 and South Dakota State's Teresa Toscano has the individual lead with a 150.
Junior Taylor McCorkle leads the Bison, as she is tied for 18th with a 163. McCorkle shot an 83 in the second round, recording a birdie on the 13th. Senior Alexis Thomas, who shot an 85 in the second round, is tied for 23rd with a 165. Junior Lexi Geolat is in 27th with a 166 after shooting a 90 in the second round.
Sophomore Maddie Herzog is in 31st with a 169. Herzog shot an 86 in the second round and recorded three birdies. Freshman Catherine Monty rounds out the Bison lineup, as she is in 39th with a 181. Monty shot an 87 in the second round, recording a birdie on the fourth.
The third, and final round, is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. on Monday at Sand Creek Station Golf Course.
