The North Dakota State University track & field teams will compete at Kansas's Rock Chalk Classic this Friday, Apr. 30, and Saturday, May 1.

A limited group of Bison will also compete at the Ron Masanz Classic hosted by MSU Moorhead on Saturday.

Friday's action at Kansas begins with the men's javelin at 1 p.m. and women's long jump at 2 p.m. Track events start at 3 p.m. On Saturday, field events get underway with the women's discus at 11 a.m. and men's triple jump at 11:30. Saturday's track events begin at 12:30 p.m.

This weekend's meets are the last scheduled competition for the Bison before the Summit League Outdoor Championships, which will be held May 13-15 in Vermillion, S.D.

The Bison currently own 10 performances that rank in the NCAA's Top 25 this season, led by Akealy Moton at No. 4 in the women's shot put. With Maddy Nilles, Kari Wolfe and Shelby Gunnells, the NDSU women have four marks that stand in the nation's Top 10 in the throwing events.
