Cade Feeney has been named to the 2021 Collegiate Baseball Freshmen All-American Team, powered by Diamond.
An All-Summit League First Team selection, Feeney becomes the third Bison to be selected to the team in school history. Feeney joins fellow pitcher
Max Loven, a 2019 selection, and Justin Kline in 2009.
In his rookie campaign, Feeney with 8-1 in 13 starts. His eight victories are tied for the second-most in school history and the most by a freshman at NDSU. He is one of four true freshman starters in the country to tally eight or more wins this season. Feeney tossed a complete game shutout against Western Illinois on April 9 in the home opener. He twice struck out seven batters in a game, while finishing the season with 56 strikeouts in 69.2 innings pitched. Feeney had a 3.23 ERA, allowing 25 runs on 64 hits.
