Jumps Highlight Bison Women’s Track & Field at Iowa State Friday

AMES, Iowa – A pair of strong performances in the jumps headlined the efforts of the North Dakota State women's track & field team on Friday at the Iowa State Classic.
Bison junior Daejha Moss won the high jump, clearing a season-best 5-07.75 (1.72m). Second-year freshman Grace Emineth recorded a long jump personal-best of 19-04.25 (5.90m) to take third place, moving into the Summit League lead in the event this season.
Bison freshman Christiana Collins took second place in the 200m dash, finishing in 25.04.
Salmata Korgho clocked a 60m hurdles personal-best of 8.65, taking fourth place. She ranks sixth-fastest all-time at NDSU.
Senior Kelby Anderson took seventh in the 3000m in a season-best 9:34.73. Kaleesa Houston ran a personal-best 9:53.93.
Former NDSU All-American Maddy Nilles won the weight throw, throwing 76-00.00 (23.16m). NDSU's Amy Phillips placed fourth in the weight throw with a mark of 64-11.25 (19.79m).
Several athletes slated to compete in distance races at South Dakota State on Friday evening were unable to make the trip to Brookings due to winter weather.
