
NDSU Baseball Picked Second in Summit League Preseason Poll

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The North Dakota State baseball team has been picked second in the Summit League Preseason Poll, announced on Wednesday by the league office.
Oral Roberts earned the top spot with 36 points and six first place votes. NDSU was slotted second with 31 points and one first place vote. Omaha rounded out the top three with 24 points.
Peter Brookshaw and Max Loven were named to the Summit League Players to Watch list. Brookshaw started all 61 games last season and registered a .263 batting average with 59 hits and 38 RBI. Loven made 12 starts on the mound posting a 3-3 overall record with 50 strikeouts.
The Bison set a school record with 42 wins in 2021, going 42-19 on their way to a Summit League Tournament title and the first NCAA Regional game victory of the school's Division I era.
NDSU will open the 2022 season with a four-game series at Abilene Christian on Feb. 18-20.
