GRAND FORKS, N.D. – Six North Dakota State women's track & field athletes claimed event titles at the UND Tune-Up on Saturday afternoon in Grand Forks.
Second-year freshman
Salmata Korgho won the 60m hurdles, running a personal-best 8.60 seconds to move up to fifth-fastest in school history.
NDSU freshman Christiana Collins took first in the 60m dash, running 7.73 in the prelim and 7.74 in the final.
Allie Wahlund took first in the mile, clocking 5:13.36. Freshman
Onnica Stansbury won the 3000m in 10:28.31.
The Bison women won both throwing events, with
Amanda Anderson throwing 47-11.75 (14.62m) in the shot put and
Amy Phillips throwing 65-04.00 (19.91m) in the weight throw.
Merrideth Spiers threw a personal-best 57-09.50 (17.61m) in the weight for fifth place.
Bailee Dierks clocked a 60m hurdles season-best of 8.79 for third place in the meet.
This was the final tune-up for the Bison before the Summit League Indoor Championships, which will be held on Friday, Feb. 25, and Saturday, Feb. 26, in Grand Forks.
