
Anderson Climbs NDSU 5,000m All-Time List at Stanford

STANFORD, Calif. – Senior Kelby Anderson ran a 5,000m personal-best of 16:06.01 at the Stanford Invitational on Friday night, headlining a day of competition for the North Dakota State women's track & field team.
Anderson, a Bismarck, N.D., native, moved up to No. 3 in NDSU history in the event. She trimmed more than five seconds off her previous 5,000m best.
NDSU's Kari Wolfe took second place in the javelin at Stanford, throwing 168-3 (51.28m). Amy Phillips took third in the hammer throw with a mark of 216-5 (65.98m).
Bison sophomore Salmata Korgho clocked a personal-best 13.90 in the 100m hurdles final to take fifth place in the meet. She now ranks fifth all-time at NDSU.
Kaleesa Houston ran a personal-best 5,000m of 16:49.36, ranking eighth-fastest in NDSU outdoor history. Bison freshman Grace Link won her heat of the 1500m, finishing in 4:32.20.
Senior Amanda Anderson placed third in the shot put with a mark of 47-09.25 (14.56m).
Nell Graham was the top Bison in the 400m dash at Stanford, taking sixth place in 56.38. Redshirt freshman Kaci Cooper placed 14th in 57.29, and Claire Howell was 17th in 57.76.
Sophomore Grace Emineth jumped 19-0 (5.79m) for eighth in the long jump.
Bailee Dierks finished 10th in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:04.90.
The Bison will continue to compete at Stanford on Saturday, as well as the USD Early Bird meet in Vermillion, S.D.
