LONG BEACH, Calif. – Throwers Amy Phillips and Kari Wolfe led the way for the North Dakota State women's track & field team at three meets in southern California on Thursday, and another pair of Bison added their names to the school's all-time Top 10 lists.
 
Phillips was the top collegian in the hammer throw at Long Beach State, posting a mark of 218-7 (66.64m). She remains sixth on the NCAA performance list this season.
 
Wolfe won the javelin in Long Beach, throwing 172-2 (52.49m).
 
Freshman Onnica Stansbury (West Fargo, N.D.) ran 10:55.74 in the 3000m steeplechase at the Mt. SAC Relays, putting her at No. 9 on the NDSU all-time list.
 
Daejha Moss took second in the triple jump at Long Beach State, posting a new personal-best of 40-09.75 (12.44m) to move up to ninth-best in NDSU history. Moss also placed fourth in the high jump, clearing 5-07.25 (1.71m).
 
The Bison women swept the top three places in the long jump at Long Beach State, posting some significant marks in the process. Freshman Makenna Vollmer won with a personal-best leap of 19-08.25 (6.00m), and sophomore Grace Emineth was second with a personal-best 19-06.25 (5.95m). Jodi Lipp placed third at 19-04.25 (5.90m).
 
Lipp finished fifth in the triple jump with a mark of 39-03.00 (11.96m), and Emineth placed sixth with 39-02.50 (11.95m).
 
Senior Amanda Anderson threw 50-00.50 (15.25m) in the shot put at the Mt. SAC Relays for a new season-best and Summit League-leading mark. Anderson also qualified fifth to the discus final, throwing 170-8 (52.02m) in the prelims Thursday.
 
The Bison will continue competition at Long Beach State, Azusa Pacific, and the Mt. SAC Relays on Friday.
