Amanda Anderson Named Most Outstanding Performer of Summit League Championships

5/18/2022 3:27:00 PM

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Following the Summit League Outdoor Track & Field Championships on May 12-14, North Dakota State senior thrower Amanda Anderson has been named the Women's Most Outstanding Performer of the Championship, and 18 Bison women earned all-league honors.

The awards were announced Wednesday by the league office. The Most Outstanding Performer of the Championship is determined by a vote of the head coaches and is based upon the student-athletes' performance during the conference meet. All-league honors are earned with a top-three finish in an event.

Anderson tied for the league lead with 22 points scored in the field events at the conference meet, winning the shot put and discus. It was her third straight league title in the discus.

Senior distance runner Kelby Anderson and sophomore sprinter/heptathlete Nell Graham led the Bison with three all-league honors apiece.
