Kari Wolfe was named the Summit League Women's Field Athlete of the Year, and NDSU director of track & field and cross country
Stevie Keller was voted the league's Men's Coach of the Year for the 2022 outdoor season, the league office announced Thursday.
Wolfe (Harvey, N.D.) was the top-finishing Summit League athlete at the NCAA Outdoor Championships this year, placing 10th in the javelin. She also won her third consecutive league title in the javelin at the Summit League Championships. Wolfe will compete at the USATF Championships in Eugene, Ore., this Saturday.
Wolfe is the fourth consecutive Bison to garner the Women's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Year accolade.
Under the direction of Keller, the NDSU men captured their 12th straight Summit League outdoor team championship in May, winning by a 36-point margin.
The Bison men sent 13 entries to the NCAA West Preliminary Rounds and advanced the 4x400m relay to the NCAA Outdoor Championships, with all four members of the relay trained and coached directly by Keller.
