EUGENE, Ore. – The North Dakota State women's track & field team capped the 2022 season with two top-15 finishers at the NCAA Outdoor Championships on Thursday.

Senior Kari Wolfe placed 10th in the javelin, and senior Amy Phillips claimed 15th in the hammer throw for the Bison. Both earned second team All-America honors for their finishes.

Wolfe registered a season-best throw of 175-8 (53.55m) on her third and final attempt. The Harvey, N.D., native placed fifth in the javelin at the NCAA Championships last year, giving her two All-America honors for her career.

Phillips capped her Bison career with a throw of 215-0 (65.53m) in the hammer. Thursday was her first appearance at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, but her second All-America honor overall, joining her performance in the indoor weight throw in 2021.

NDSU has sent a women's qualifier to the NCAA Championships in the hammer throw for five straight seasons. The Bison have had a representative in the women's javelin at the national meet for six of the past seven seasons.
