FARGO, N.D. – Shemarri Allen and RayQuawndis Mitchell combined for 51 points to carry Kansas City to a 75-73 victory over the North Dakota State men's basketball team on Saturday afternoon.

NDSU sophomore forward
Andrew Morgan scored a career-high 29 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the Bison.
Grant Nelson added 15 points, seven rebounds and three assists.

NDSU (8-13 overall, 5-4 Summit) shot 55 percent for the game, but Kansas City took advantage of 10 offensive rebounds and 25 free throw attempts to pull out the win.

The Bison led 68-67 following a layup by
Boden Skunberg with 1:53 remaining. At the other end, Allen hit one free throw for Kansas City and missed the second, but an offensive rebound led to a three-pointer that put the Roos up 71-68.

NDSU had a chance to win at the end, trailing 74-73 when a shot by Nelson missed in the final seconds.

The Bison will host North Dakota on Friday, Jan. 27, at 7 p.m.
