FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State men's track & field team opened the 2024 indoor season with a slew of event titles and strong performances on Friday at the Dakota Alumni Classic.

NDSU's
Zach McGlynn leads the heptathlon after Day 1 with 3,093 points. He cleared a career-best 6-11.00 (2.11m) in the high jump, tying for seventh-best in NDSU indoor history.

Bison sophomore
Blake Nyenati took the 60m hurdles title, running 7.94 in the prelims and 7.96 in the finals.

Senior
Cam Landis took first in the shot put with a throw of 57-04.75 (17.49m). Sophomore
Kaden Pastian won the weight throw with a mark of 63-06.00 (19.35m) and was second in the shot put at 57-02.25 (17.43m).

NDSU freshman
Aaron Cummings won the pole vault, clearing 16-04.75 (5.00m).
Andrew Berg claimed the high jump title with a mark of 6-09.00 (2.06m). Lorenzo Andrews won the triple jump with a leap of 46-07.25 (14.20m).

Unattached Bison freshman Jayden Williams won the 60m dash in 6.86 – a time that would rank him ninth-fastest in school history. Redshirt freshman
Carter Elde took first in the 600m in 1:21.56.

Cullen Curl (49.24) was second in the 400m dash, and
Khamarly Holmes (49.54) took third.

Gabe Miles finished third in the 200m dash in 22.37 for his Bison debut.

The heptathlon will resume at 10 a.m. on Saturday for the final three events.
