North Dakota State jumper Grace Emineth remained unbeaten in the long jump this season, headlining a number of strong performances by the Bison women's track & field team at a pair of meets on Friday.
Emineth won the long jump at the Music City Challenge in Nashville, Tenn., extending her run to six straight titles in the event this indoor season. Emineth jumped 19-11.00 (6.07m) for the win, and she had two more jumps of 6.00m or better in her series.
Kendra Kelley ran 24.05 to place second in the 200m dash at Vanderbilt – the second-fastest indoor time of her career, and just 0.07 seconds off the school record of 23.98 held by Antoinette Goodman.
Kaleesa Houston won the 5,000m at the SDSU Indoor Classic in Brookings, S.D., finishing in a career-best 16:46.06 to rank fifth all-time at NDSU.
Sophomore Grace Link cut more than five seconds off her personal-best in the mile, running 4:48.25 in Nashville to stand sixth-fastest in NDSU history.
Reagan Baesler ran a personal-best 9:49.71 in the 3000m for second place at SDSU.
Senior Daejha Moss cleared 5-06.50 (1.69m) to tie for fifth place in the high jump at Vanderbilt.
Competition will continue at both meets on Saturday.
